We're buying dated rings right and left these days, fascinated with the mysterious numbers that figure so prominently in their design, usually with little or no explanation. My best guess is that this "1925" ring marked a graduation, but who knows? Maybe a couple had it custom-made for their anniversary—I've read that onyx is traditionally gifted on the 7th year of marriage. The bezel is long, measuring just shy of 1", and 1/2" wide. The 14K white gold band is engraved "P. R." on the underside of the shoulder.
