This sterling silver bar brooch measures a little under 2" long and about 3/4" across the center at the widest point. Its emblazoned with a series of cheerful rose gold accents in a variety of positive shapes, like forget-me-nots for sentiment, horseshoes for luck, and the phrase "BEST WISHES," for the obvious. Based on the hallmarks on the back of the pin, we know that this piece was made in Birmingham, England, in 1916. The silver catch stays solidly in place with the help of a "c" claspóa finding that would soon be rendered obsolete thanks to the locking clasp that we see on most pins today.
