This carved bone lapel pin measures about 2 1/2" long at its widest point, and is capped on either end in 14K yellow gold. A cast 14K gold emblem reading "1914" is bolted through the center of the pin, making us speculate that this is a piece of WWI memorabilia commemorating the start of the conflictóknown then as simply "the Great War." The hinged catch fits neatly into a "c" clasp, and curves along the length of the bone piece, echoing its shape.
