Belt motifs were popular in the Victorian and Edwardian eras. This piece is hallmarked for the year 1916, six years after the end of King Edward's reign, so style-wise it's a little late to the game. The inside is stamped "JMB," which is the maker's mark for John Milward Banks. In1863 Banks established jewelry production offices in Birmingham and a shop in London. His son took over the family business and continued producing jewelry with the JMB stamp until 1926. This 9k rose gold ring is fully hallmarked and etched with a zig-zag pattern around the band. Some of the design has been rubbed away on one side of band due to years of wear. We don't recommend sizing this ring, but if a blank gap or seam at the back doesn't bother you...
