These refurbished studs are cartoonishly oversized (1/2") and cartoonishly colored (saturated fuschia-red). They were probably manufactured in the 1970's. A brass raised bezel grips the opaque plastic faux gem with 4 claws. We've switched out the original cheap metal posts for 14K gold-filled posts and hypo-allergenic plastic disc backs so these should be fine for sensitive ears.
