Sequin Earrings
(brass)
$30.00
These irregularly-shaped sequins were manufactured in France in the 1930's and were intended as ornaments for fine textiles. Each was hand-punched out of a thin sheet of brass and polished to a brilliant reflective shine, which has faded to a dull patina over the past century. Sequins measure about 1/4" in diameter and have 14K gold-filled posts and backs.
Each pair of studs is attached to an old photo or piece of antique ephemera. Right now we're using cigarette cards from the 1920's - 50's that feature movie stars, but that could change.
