Sequin Earrings (silver tone)
$30.00
These irregularly-shaped sequins were manufactured in France in the 1930's and were intended as ornaments for fine textiles. Each was hand-punched out of thin silver-colored sheet metal and polished to a brilliant reflective shine, which has faded to a dull patina over the past century. Sequins measure about 1/4" in diameter and have sterling silver posts and backs.
Each pair of studs is attached to an old photo or piece of antique ephemera. Right now we're using cigarette cards from the 1920's - 50's that feature movie stars, but that could change.
