Five giant hand-carved links of bleached wood chain are the feature of this necklace. Each one measures 1 1/2", so altogether the wood chain measures 6". It is suspended from a 23" ribbon-style brass mesh chain and fastened by two vintage stirrup-shaped, hinged closures. A notched button can be depressed on these to release the catch. The necklace opens and closes this way; there's no extra hardware at the back.
