This impossibly delicate, kite-shaped class ring probably belonged to a young lady, who ostensibly graduated in 1902, per the '02 rendered in scrolling gilded script on the bezel, which is enameled in a rich crimson. If this ring did in fact belong to a lady, the P. H. S. in question was probably an all-female high school. While the women's education movement—along with women's rights in generalówas gaining potency at this point in history, women's schools were nowhere near common or standard, which makes a ring like this a pretty cool find.
