This 9K rose gold cigar band, circa 1860 - 1880, was made from an impossibly thin band of gold that was cut in a decorative heart shape, soldered closed with a tiny flame, and gently embellished with minute engravings. (Our dealers call these thin men's rings "cigar bands" for their resemblance to the small tapered paper labels that come with new cigars.) Despite its extremely low profile, the structure is sturdy, and would make a great wedding band for a lady or a fellow.
