This Ancient Roman ring is made in silver with an elaborately decorated shoulders and a red jasper intaglio. The intaglio features two clasped right hands aka dextrarum iunctio (indicating friendship, an agreement or an engagement) over the Greek word "omonoia" meaning "joined as one." The signet ring was an important piece of jewelry in Roman society. Not only was it a decorative symbol of rank and status, but the intaglio itself was unique to the owner and was used as an authoritative seal or signature on important documents. This ring is a size 7.5 and, believe it or not, it can actually be slightly resized. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
