This solitaire with a lovely rose gold mounting chased with a scrolled design is contemporary, antique and upcycled all at the same time. How can it be all these things at once? Well, the mounting - rendered in a feminine Edwardian style - is new, but the lovely .66ct diamond sparkling within that 8 prong crown setting is called a "Crown Jubilee" is where the age and upcycling come in. This cut was just developed (only in 2016!) in NYC, the inventors make each one by re-cutting Old Mine or Old European Cut diamonds, wasting as little material as possible while giving life to an old stone that's damaged or unusable for whatever reason. This Crown Jubilee Cut weighs in at .66ct (J/I2) and comes with a GIA diamond certificate.
