Early 18th Century “A token of true love” Posy Ring

$2,800

Sold!

THE LEGENDARY jewelry historian Diana Scarsbrick wrote a book on this type of ring in 2021; it’s called “I like my Choyce”. She focuses on the "posy", an inscribed band associated with love and marriage. The majority are inscribed with English mottos expressing admiration, affection, and pledges of fidelity. Ours says "A token of true love" and would make an excellent wedding or commitment band. c. 1700.
