An unusual early Victorian brooch in the form of a stylized acorn. The acorn was a popular motif in the Victorian era that conveyed longevity and renewal. This brooch is affixed with a locket, originally it would have contained hair but it's now empty. Thanks to its size and puffy shape, the locket could be used to hold any manner of small objects or mementos.
