Early Victorian Pinchbeck Case Pendant
This early Victorian pinchbeck pendant hinges open at the top to reveal that it is, in fact, actually a small case. The exterior is decorated with floral and scroll designs over a stippled ground. It opens by pressing down on a discreet little push button. Who knows what it was designed to hold, perhaps snuff, herbs or perfume.
