Edwardian Sapphire, Diamond & Pearl Comet Necklace


A shooting star rendered in gold, its spectacular tail sparkles with old cut diamonds, sapphires and a pair of creamy pearls. This piece was likely converted from a brooch into a pendant at some point. Hangs on a new 18" 14k gold chain.

    10k gold (tests), 2 3.1mm seed pearls, old European cut diamonds: .04ct, .03ct, .03ct, old cut sapphires: .13ct, .16ct, .12ct, new 14k gold chain

    c. 1900

  • Condition

    Very good - likely converted from a brooch into a necklace at some point in time

    1 5/8" length including the bale, 18" chain
