Formerly a stickpin, this stately terrier (a Jack Russell, I believe) has been converted into a pendant. Generally speaking, when we see dog-themed stickpins it often has something to do with fox hunting and this piece is no exception. But here's a fun fact: the 19th century breeder responsible for these clever dogs was a man named Reverend John Russell aka "the Sporting Parson" who was a hunting enthusiast as well as a clergyman.
