Etruscan RevivalBangle
This bracelet was made in the "archaeological style": inspired by the jewelry found in the excavated ruins of ancient Etruscan cities. Ancient Etruscan jewelers excelled at creating depth and relief in gold using corded wire, filigree and granulation. During the mid-1800's, European jewelers were inspired to create replica jewels to satisfy the public's appetite for all things Etruscan-ish. This bangle employs every one of the techniques mentioned above.
