A highly unusual wax seal fob modeled in gold and set with a chalcedony intaglio cipher. Fobs such as this one were designed to be impressed onto a dollop of hot wax to form a decorative seal on correspondence. They sometimes feature a family crest, monogram, witty rebus, etc but we've never seen a cipher before!
