We suspect this creature is a snow leopard or a clouded leopard? It has a bushy tail so that rules out a lot of big cats. This makes sense (in theory) because these two species of leopard lived in the general vicinity of Nepal so it’s possible that some British explorer / naturalist had this made. We could be overthinking it, though - sometimes a leopard is just a leopard.
