A crisp and classic Georgian mourning band decorated with black and white enamel and set with an oblong garnet. This garnet almost certainly takes the place of what was once a hair locket. The underside of the head is engraved "Geo.e [George] Hannam ob 21 Octr [October] 1807 Aet 62".
