Georgian Garnet & Moss Agate Heart Ring

Moss agate is a type of chalcedony with little iron inclusions that resemble moss. This particular stone is mottled with red agate and moss agate that have grown together to make a rather stunning specimen. The pear (or heart) shaped agate is framed by 30 tiny flat cut garnets. This piece must originally have been a pendant but was beautifully converted into a ring at some point in time.
