Georgian Garnet, Pearl & Hair Padlock Ring


This wonderful Georgian ring is made in the unusual shape of a padlock, it's lines are articulated with seed pearls of graduated sizes punctuated with almandine garnets. The upper portion of the lock features a lovely oblong garnet cabochon and the lower portion holds a locket set with a braided lock of hair. Note the lovely engraving on the underside of the face. Rare and very special.

    Very good - looks like it might have been re-shanked at some point in time

    6.5, can be resized; 5/8" x 1/2" head, 1.6mm shank
