Janus is the Roman god of transitions, time, duality, passages, beginnings and, of course, endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces pointing in opposite directions representing different perspectives, or the resolution of differing points of view. In this Georgian wax seal fob, Janus is depicted with not 2 but sixteen faces. Can you see them all?
