A rare Georgian carved labradorite monkey head with rose cut diamond eyes. It's likely that this piece was originally a stickpin but at some point was remounted in a period shank. The wonderfully carved primate is framed in a halo of silver spheres. The underside of the head has been thoughtfully embellished with fans of fluting along the north and south sides.
