An exquisitely sentimental necklace with four Georgian pendant lockets. Each locket features a white enamel oval with a single French word over a ground of hair. The progression reads "L'AmitiéEst Mon Desir" or "Friendship is My Desire". These c. 1820 lockets were added to a Victorian chain at some point to make this wonderful necklace.
10k gold (tests), 9k chain (marked), glass, hair, enamel
c. 1820 lockets, c. 1880 chain
Excellent - the lockets were added to a newer (but still old chain) at some point in time
