Georgian Mourning Ring for Thomas Latham

An ornate, strikingly beautiful Georgian mourning ring dedicated to the memory of Thomas Latham. Latham was born in Middlesex, England and died in Surrey after having married twice and fathered a total of 16(!) children. The ring is in near immaculate condition with a foliate design rendered in high relief, reeded edges and an oblong hair locket framed in black enamel. The interior of the ring is engraved: "Thomas Lathan died 13 Aug 1818 Aged 75."
