Georgian “Pour Toujours” Wax Seal Necklace

$1,950

Sold!

This carnelian wax seal fob, made around 1800, is deeply sentimental. The inscription "Pour Toujours"—French for "Forever"—sits beneath a trio of meaningful symbols: conjoined flaming hearts, representing passion and unity in love; a cupid’s quiver with arrows, evoking desire and devotion; and an anchor, symbolizing steadfastness and hope. Cut in carnelian and designed to press into wax, this fob likely once sealed love letters.
