Georgian Rose Cut Diamond Lyre Pendant

The lyre was the most well-known instrument in the ancient Greek world where it was played during recitations of lyric poetry (among other places and times, of course). Makes sense that the Georgians, obsessed with ancient classical culture, worked this theme into their diamond jewelry lexicon. This early 19th century pendant is made in silver and set with a whopping 31 rose cut diamonds.
