Georgian Serpent Hoop Earrings
A snake with its tail in its mouth forming an endless circle, is also known as an ouroboros. It is a symbol of love everlasting, and was one of the (if not THE) favorite jewelry motifs of the early 19th century. These rare Georgian sleeper-style hoop earrings depict a pair of subtle ouroboroses with crosshatched scales.
