Modeled with its mouth agape to show its pointy teeth, this late Victorian snake bracelet is set with a fiery garnet cabochon at the crown of its head and bright old European cut diamonds for eyes. Note the way the clasp has been formed in the shape of a forked tongue. The jeweler who made this wonderful ouroboros thoughtfully added a safety latch on one side of the head.
