Late MedievalQuatrefoil ElectrumRing
Electrum is a naturally occurring alloy composed primarily of gold and silver with trace elements of copper and zinc. It has been used since the 3rd Century BC to make decorative objects and jewelry, in fact, the first coins ever minted were made out of electrum. This c. 1500 ring is made in electrum with a quatrefoil shape - an ancient symbol of good fortune - with a pyramid studding the center.
