Prince Albert proposed to Queen Victoria with a snake ring set with an emerald. The queen set the bar for fashion in this period and, owing largely to Victoria's ring, serpent-themed jewelry was incredibly popular throughout the second half of the 19th century. This ring is inspired by a piece from that era. Two friendly snakes are entwined, symbolizing an eternal life together.
