Wide silver bracelets like this were at the height of fashion toward the end of the Victorian era. This period in design is known as the Aesthetic Movement which is characterized, in part, by its use of natural and organic themes. This superb and unusual c. 1880 bangle features an intricate pattern resembling coral along its wide shank.
