If you don't know about bog oak, it's fossilized wood that's been preserved in Irish peat bogs for hundreds or thousands of years. This unfortunately named but pretty material was used self-referentially during the 19th century to produce Irish-themed jewelry. Harps and clovers were common motifs. The face of this large bog oak locket is carved with six interlaced clovers. The reverse side holds a glass-fronted locket. New 24" gold fill chain.
