A Victorian swivel fob of superior quality with a carnelian intaglio crest on one side and a bloodstone monogram “WCB” (or “CWB”) on the reverse. The crest, which belongs to the Butlers, is described in Fairbairn's as “out of a ducal coronet a plume of five ostrich feathers and therefrom a falcon rising.” The family’s motto is “Comme je trouve" which means “As I find.”
