Victorian Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl & Diamond 3 Stone Ring

Classic and unusual at the same time, this late Victorian three stone ring features a cat's eye chrysoberyl flanked by bright old mine cut diamonds. This chrysoberyl cabochon is a chatoyant stone - "chatoyant" is a bastardization of the French term "oeil de chat" aka eye of the cat - meaning that it has the optical effect of a streak within the stone that moves with the light. This effect is hard to capture with a camera but rest assured it does look a lot like a cat's eye when seen in person.
