Cut steel jewelry came into fashion in the Georgian era and was made and popularly worn through the end of the 19th century. The jewelry is made from cast steel beads which were faceted by hand in the early stages of the style and machined in the later. Once cut, the sparkly studs were then riveted in clusters to produce a high-wattage, glittery jewelry. This cut steel bracelet dates to the early 1800s and featured a cleverly concealed clasp.
