Victorian Elephant Hair Earrings

A pair of elephant hair earrings from the late Victorian era, when the sun never set on the British Empire and women's hairstyles were super poofy - think Helena Bonham-Carter in "A Room With a View". Made from twisted strands of elephant hair and gold, these earrings were likely a safari souvenir. The elephant wasn't hunted - it was ridden, or brought along for photo opportunities.
