The heart-shaped padlock clasp was exceedingly popular in the late 19th century and into the Edwardian era. This 18k gold puffy heart clasp complete with a recessed key hole is an especially nice example of the style - which was primarily used as a closure on sweetheart bracelets. We've added an 18" 14k gold chain to make this antique clasp into a wearable necklace.
