Demeter is the Greek goddess of agriculture, fertility and harvest and represents the autumn season. This tiny and exquisitely rendered coral carving of Demeter depicts her with a crown of wheat. It is very likely this lovely little pendant was a souvenir from the Italian leg of the Grand Tour. Hangs from a new 18" 14k gold chain.
