Victorian Oblong Coral Cameo Ring
An exquisitely carved coral cameo set in a minimal gold mounting. The cameo likely predates the setting and it seems very possible that it might have been salvaged from a larger piece. The lozenge-shaped cameo depicts a bearded man in three quarter profile - A philosopher? A prophet? A deity from the Roman pantheon of gods?
