VictorianOuroborosSplit Ring
A snake with tail in mouth, forming an endless circle, is also known as an ouroboros. It is a symbol of love everlasting, and was one of (if not THE) favorite jewelry motifs of the 19th century. This fantastic 14k gold Victorian split ring was designed to connect to a guard chain and hold multiple fobs, charms, or miniature tools. It's modeled in the shape of an ouroboros with beautiful crosshatched scales and a subtly rendered head and mouth.
