A late 19th century heart-shaped gold locket studded with seed pearls. We call this make of locket a “back and front,” meaning that the back and front are modeled in gold but the interior is base metal. A little bit of Victorian thrift - the luxe look without the accompanying luxe cost.
10k gold (tests) back and front, base metal interior, 13 seed pearls, new 14k gold chain
1" length including the bale, 5/8" width, 18" chain
1837 — 1901
