Victorian “Recte Faciendo Securus” Shield Signet Ring

$3,200

Sold!

The translation is "Safe in doing what is right". Inside, it's engraved "JW 1851 EW 1888 LW 1932", so there's a family legacy there. This heirloom ring was designed to be worn on the left hand; the shield is set at an angle so that when the wearer raises their hand they view the shield straight on. The bloodstone is speckled with red dots.
