Victorian “Semper Eadem” Monogram Locket

$2,200

A beautiful, high quality mid Victorian locket fashioned in gold, both sides identically engraved with initials “GM” or “MG” within a quatrefoil surround. The interior holds a locket compartment on one side and the phrase “Semper Eadem” on the other. Semper Eadem translates from Latin as “Always the same” and it just so happens to have been Queen Elizabeth I's personal motto.
