Victorian Swallow Earrings with Amethysts

In the northern hemisphere the migration of the swallow is one of the early signs of spring and the fertile period to come. According to lore, swallows were a welcome sight to voyage-weary sailors who believed the little birds prevented ships from getting lost and led them into safe harbor. This sweet pair of gold swallows with amethyst pendants are a symbol of abundance and homecoming.
