This oversize locket is modeled in 15k gold and dates to the mid Victorian period. The face features a starburst motif, ornamented with turquoise and a single rose cut diamond, accented with a detailed folitate and scroll motif. The turquoise has discolored with age and ranges in color from bright robin's egg blue to a muted jade green. The reverse side is blank.
