Aviva, Vivian, and Viva - all girls' names derived from the Latin word vivus which means 'alive' or 'full of life'. Sometime in the late 1800s, Viva owned this propelling pencil which is also a wearable brooch. She kept it in the original box.

    10k rose and yellow gold (tests), sterling silver, pencil lead, original velvet & satin lined box

    Design registered in 1893-94

    Very very good - hand engraved “Rd 212386” on the back, “Viva” on the front, “Clark 20 Old Bond St” on the pencil case
