A very clever and very beautiful little fob fashioned in the shape of a (working) whistle with lovely foliate engraving. The base of the whistle is affixed with a bloodstone intaglio with the initials “MB” or “BM.” The text reads in reverse, as the seal was meant to be pressed into hot wax to create a right-way-around impression.
